My Creative Sketches Layout Challenge-Heaven Sent

I've been having a hard time with scrapping these past few weeks. I decided to finally give up smoking (25 years) and have started medication to help curb the urges. Well I've been so nauseous I'd swear I was pregnant again ( absolutely zero chance of that!). It's been difficult to focus when your head and stomach are rolling with the waves but I really wanted to meet the deadline for the MCS Sketch Challenge. This was the sketch designed by Kim Keane.
This is my interpretation.
I flipped the sketch to accomdate the vertical picture. This is my grandaughter Emily as a flower girl on her uncle's wedding. I just fell in love with the picture when I saw it!
Some DA ( Scroll #8) in the corner with both a handmade and  Prima flower.

For the DA piece (Orante Gate) I painted it first with white craft paint and after it dried went over it again with my pealy coloured nailpolish to give it that shimmer associated with the pearly gates of heaven. Unfortunately no matter how I shoot this I can't catch the shine on camera :(  Well that's it for me today I'm off to start another layout stomach permitting! Have a great day and thanks for coming by!! :)

  4. Your layout is very pretty! I've wondered myself whether I could use nail polish (acidic?).

You wouldn't by chance be taking Chantix? I never did get over the nausea. It made me miserable!

"The most common side effects of CHANTIX include nausea (30%), sleep problems, constipation, gas and/or vomiting. If you have side effects that bother you or don't go away, tell your doctor. You may have trouble sleeping, vivid, unusual or strange dreams while taking CHANTIX. Use caution driving or operating machinery until you know how CHANTIX may affect you." (www.chantix.com)

The best thing that I have found are the "electric cigarettes". There is absolutely no nicotine in them, you get a vapour that is mostly water with some vanillin. The tip actually lights up when you take a drag and you blow out a white vapour.. pretty realistic and you feel like you are smoking a real cigarette (or very close to it). They come in a variety of flavours and really do satisfy the craving.

    Good luck!

  5. Hi Anita,
Thanks for the feedback I am in fact taking Champix and was told today that it's that rotten feeling that makes you want to quit. I'll hang in there! Thanks for dropping by1
