Scrap That Sketch Challenge-All You Need Is Love

This is the sketch done by Amarilys Doria over at the Scrap That Blog. This is my interpretation of the sketch using the Main Kit.
Another wedding pic of my brother and mother-in law with my hubby. Our wedding photos were taken in a very luscious garden at Inn at the Falls in Bracebridge and some of the pics came out with such vivd colours it was hard to match them up with paper! Fortunately this paper from Fab scraps worked perfectly for this pic. It's too bad that I really suck at taking pics of my layouts! (Any hints are more than welcome!!!)
Just a few close-up shots to show some of the detail which is hard to see in the layout pic.I used the Dusty Attic circle Frame to surround the pic and the Cameo Ribbon Slide for the Webster's Cameo I used in the top left Corner from the Girl Land Collection. The tag in the corner was also made with the diamonds stamp from Girl land!
For some reason my blog is giving me grief tonight in posting pics so that's it for now! Have a terrific weekend and stay out of this heat!

MCS CREATIVE SKETCHES-LOVE

This is June's sketch over at My Creative Sketches:
This is my take on the sketch. Another wedding picture of hubby and I! I will get my wedding ablbum done yet!

I used the June LE Kit from MCS Pink Paisley's London Market.

I used some vine from Prima and some grass from DA. Painted the DA with Gesso then inked using tattered rose, teal blue and branch bark. Once I had all the vines in place I lightly went over it with white ink for a frosted look.

Instead of using scalloped paper I put lace under my picture for a more soft look.
This is hard to see but I used a Prima template and a white gel pen and added a little more white to my pink circle and of course Prima bling to finish it off! TFL and have a terrific day!

Beauty Blooms From Within

This layout is a follow-up one to my entry for the MCS Banner Challenge. This is a shot of my so sweet, so cute, so not little anymore girls. . .
From left to right my oldest Ashley (27), middle child Meaghan(24) and youngest Jessie(21). They aren't cute anymore they are gorgeous aren't they? Ashley is momma to Lilly and Emily who you see throughout this blog and will until I can blog no longer!

I dressed up this Dusty Attic Wire Dress Form with some Webster's netting and liquid pearls tying it all together with a plain blue ribbon. I love DA!:)
Some Prima flowers mixed in with my own handmade ones and a Bo Bunny butterfly.
Last close-up of one of my handmade flowers with more Bo Bunny bling. Well that's it for now back to the scrapping table more challenges beckon! Have a great day! TFL!:)

Laugh Everday-My Creative Scrapbook

This is my entry for the My Creative Scrapbook Banner Challenge. This picture is 20 years old but one of my absolute favourites of my three girls. This was taken in the park by our old house in Toronto. They were so happy so sweet so cute and then. . .they grew-up:(

Sorry I had alot of trouble shooting and cropping this shot but I think you get the gist of it. I used the Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook for this layout. What an awesome kit so full of gorgeous Prima papers and flowers I love the Sun Kiss line from Prima!
Again because of the trouble I had shooting this it is hard to really see the banner well. I actually distressed and inked the edges of each tile. I stamped the letters but wasn't too happy with how they came out so I am now shopping for some new alphabet stamps.
Last close-up of the beautiful flowers in the kit as well as the Add-on Flower kit from MCS. I just had to follow this up with an updated layout so checkout my next post! TFL Hope you're having an awesome weekend with this beautiful weather!

Believe

Lilly on her fifth Birthday. I can't believe that my little angel is already five! Where does the time go? She had just cut her long hair and looked so big "girlish" I wanted to cry. These are the moments when you realize that you have to treasure every minute of everyday because the days sure fly by fast! Lilly wants to be a ballerina when she grows up hence the Prima paper!
I used my Martha Stewart Hydrangea punch to add the flower flourish on the side. I had to buy three punches before I finally got the one I wanted! Go figure Martha Stewart makes three different hydrangea punches and me being the tool that I am went to my scrap store and said simply can you order me the Martha Stewart hydrangea punch? No problem right? Well three visits later I now have an impressive collection of hydrangea punches!

Love the Dusty Attic frame for this picture and of course Prima flowers a must!
Me trying to be funky cut the chandelier off another page and blinged it up a bit! TFL!

Enchanted

I have been having trouble scrapping my wedding pictures as there are just so many colourful elements to the pics I couldn't find a paper to work. I consulted a friend of mine Gabrielle Pollaco who made the suggestion to try Bo Bunny's Enchanted line. Not only did she edit the photo for me she was super generous and sent me the paper! So here is my first attempt at using this line with my wedding pics. . .
I think next time I'll use a little less accent color! I used the bloom tutorial from Gabby's blog for the teal flower.  http://gabriellepollacco.blogspot.ca/

And just a few more closeups!
I also tried the polymer clay tile tutorial for the music tiles, Lord I have alot to learn! :)
As I've said I have alot of work to do learning all these new techniques! Oh well TFL!
