At the Coast

Hello!!! It feels like forever since I last posted anything. It has been awhile. I fell into a rut. Absolutely flumoxed when it came to scrapping. My mojo had gone gogo :( But with that being said I am back and that is a direct result of the awesome new Mood Board up on the More Than Words blog!! Beaches and seashells two of my favorite things! Lets take a look!
The criteria was to scrap a beach photo and incorporate seashells onto your project. This is Inverness Beach in the Cape Breton region of Nova Scotia Canada. This has to be one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen! (Yes I have been to the Caribbean!)  The vibrancy of the colors on this beach are surreal! The photo speaks for itself, I think. So lets take a look at the Mood Board shall we?
Yummy isn't it? I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!! I know this month should see many entries on such a loved topic!
I used many Blue Fern Studios products on this page. The papers are from the Wanderer collection. The chipboard is also true Blue. The flowers are from 49 & Market. I love how they have flowers in almost every color, shape and size!
The two adorable flairs I used are from Cuts2luv  and worked perfectly with my page.
This piece of chipboard came from the Heartland collection. I actually cut it so that it could extend further on both sides of my layout. I used Blue Fern embossing powders to add color to my chippie, to both of my chippies actually. I also used some Seedlings in White and Green as well as some Prima Art Stones to add texture to my page.
I used some left over lace along the base of my design again for added interest. Another Blue Fern chippie was the starfish embossed with Oatmeal embossing powder also from Blue Fern.
I used a Prima stencil, molding paste and Oxide inks to create my background. I added in a little stamping to break up the color a bit. The title again from Blue Fern aptly describes my layout. I also used some seashells that I had collected on my trip as embellishments.
My last photo is a close-up of my photo. Stunning ins't it? I so enjoyed doing this layout. I am hoping now that I will get my groove back! It is so hard when you have a full plate. Commitments have kept me busy. On the happier side I will be returning to the East Coast this August in our new Trailer and I can't wait!
That wraps things up for now. I really hope you give this challenge a try this month!! Hope to see you there!
All the best! :)
