Find Your Own Path- More Than Words July Challenge

This month at More Than Words we have another fun challenge for you. This month is about exploring and arrows! This is my interpretation.
When I think of the word explore I immediately think of children and their innate need to explore everything in their environment. They love to see and try new things which is why this photo worked for me. A young child exploring the world of painting/Art.
This is the Challenge Board. Explore is the theme and somewhere on your project you must have arrows!
I even have arrows in my title.  Can't remember who made this chippie but I do remember that I bought it at the Scrapbook Diaries.
I used 49 & Market's new papers from their Scents of Nature line. Here is another tiny arrow pointing out the frame with a bloom also from 49 & Market and some prills! All from the Scrapbook Diaries.
A close-up of my flower cluster and my masking work using Gabrielle's new Stencil Tile Mania. I also used a Prima die to cut the doilies on the background.
Another arrow (small arrows are from Dusty Attic). I used some embossing powder from Recollections that worked perfectly with my color scheme! I also did a bit of fussy cutting as you can see around the clock. These papers are perfect for fussy cutting with their beautiful graphics!
Last close-up. I stamped and heat embossed some small flowers. I colored them with some Lindy's and randomnly placed them about the page. That's it for today I hoped you enjoyed! I can't wait to see this month's entries on the blog! Give it a try!
All the best! :)

Mini Challenge More Than Words : He

The mini challenge this month at More Than Words involves making a tag, ATC or card using the word He.
This is my tag for the challenge. I enjoyed playing with the Prima Patina Pastes!

I enjoy using these tags as book markers! They are durable and distinctive. Hope you joined in this month for fun!

All the best!)

Follow Your Dreams

This month at 7 Dots Studio the challenge is about Dreams. I love to dream, would do it professionally if I could. But this is my interpretation of my Dream. A mystical dock by the water.
I used 7 Dots Hazy Days papers for this. (I am absolutely addicted to these!) This is their board for the month.
And a few close-ups
I used a lot of Dusty Attic chippies on this. I thought it would bring out the feel of nature more.
I used the Hazy Days Bird on a Wire stencil for my background. I also used a ton of Lindy's Stamp Gang mists for color.
 My moto in life!
I also used some Prills, beads and drywall tape for added texture. I hope you enjoyed!
All the best! :)

My Creative Scrapbook Consumer Spotlight Tea for Two

I am back today with layout number two that I did for my guest spot at My Creative Scrapbook Kit Club using the June Limited Edition Kit.

My mother-in-law with my step-daughter Becky. These two are like two peas in a pod. The papers in this kit worked perfectly with this photo.
The stunning kit I got to work with!!
Just a couple of close-ups. The papers are Kaisercraft Tea Time and the flowers are from Prima of course! I actually cut an oval in my paper the drew some semi circles in it folded them back to act as a frame for the photo.
I fussy cut out a few embellishments and glued them around the frame for more depth.
Every kit comes with matching Thickers.
I used some ribbon from the kit to make a little bow to add in the flower mix. This kit comes with everything you could possibly want to make  great layouts!
Thanks for dropping by and I'll see you soon with my last project for MCS!
All the best! :)

Guest Consumer Designer-My Creative Scrapbook

I was so thrilled this month to be asked by Pam Rangel owner of  My Creative Scrapbook Kit Club to be a guest designer this month. I have been a customer of MCS since 2007! I had just been introduced to scrapping and was going through the Scrapbook.com galleries when I came across the gallery of Gabrielle Pollaco. I was immediately enamoured of her work and the kits she used. I was immediately hooked and the rest as they say is history! So without further ado I give you my first layout for MCS called Dreamer.
The kit was filled with beautiful goodies including this gorgeous Kaisercraft paper called Tea Time.

This is the Limited Edition Kit which is my fav. You can see that the kit is filled with gorgeous papers, embellishments, ribbons, chippies, resins you name it! Everything you need to do several pages! Now for some close-ups. . .
Beautiful Prima flowers were bountiful in this kit! I used a few things from my own stash like the art stones, the fern stamp and the Lindy's mists. I used the wire from the flowers and curled them around a paint brush to achieve an extra embellishment.
Some drywall tape, stamping and misting for added texture.
The photo was taken by Holly Evans  from Evans Essence Photography a talented photographer friend of my  daughter's.
I did a great deal of fussy cutting with this kit! The blooms were too perfect not to. This background page is from the Vintage Artistry line from 49 & Market.
I heat embossed the title on from a stamp set I just got from Visible Image.
A little decorative splash to balance the right side of the page.
I misted my art stones to match my page.
A close-up of that adorable face. It was actually quite fun trying to confine my page to the contents of the kit. It forced me to be more creative. Using things I don't usually use like ribbons for a bow, the flower stems etc. .
This is layout one of three that I did for MCS. Unfortunately I became quite ill when my spotlight came. Racked with double pneumonia made it more difficult and yet at the same time provided me with such a positive distraction from my illness which I am still fighting.
I will be posting layout number 2 soon so keep an eye out!

All the best! :)

love June Challenge More Than Words

This month we have a truly fun and funky challenge up on More Than Words Challenge Blog! It's a Steampunk challenge board perfect for Father's day this month. I chose to scrap this photo of my brand new grandson Hudson snuggling with daddy the day of his birth.
This is the board you must work with this month.
Please remember to read the rules of the challenge carefully. We have seen some amazing projects disqualified because they didn't meet the criteria or had forgotten to link to our blog so take your time!! Now for some close ups.
I framed the photo with a chippie from Creative Embellishments. I then added a variety of metal embellishments, blooms, drywall tape well the list goes on!!! I then primed everything with gesso then colored the page using Finnibar's metallic paints and Lindy's  Stamp Gang Mists.
There is a method to my madness. I have included the date and time of Hudson's birth on the page. 2017 is obviously the year!
5 is the day he was born.
4 is the month. April 5th, 2017 brought me an angel from heaven!
This embellishment from Prima was the perfect way to display the title, love :)
I used the new papers from 7 Dots Hazy Days line as well as this stencil! I love their new lines!
Here you can see that the clock is set at 6:30 the time of Hudson's birth.

I had so much fun doing this layout!! It was like being a little kid again and just letting lose with my crafts. I hope you have as much fun with this challenge as I did. Each month we have some amazing prizes to give away so don't miss out give it a try!

Writing this post has taken more than you know out of me. I have been sick with double pneumonia for weeks and am struggling to regain my strength so I shall end my post here.l I hope you enjoyed it and I look forward to seeing you again this month with a surprise!! I am so excited!!

All the best! :)
