Fin

Welcome back to my blog. I have another layout today. I decided to join in the Sketch Contest at My Creative Scrapbook Kit Club Blog
I took these photos of my youngest grandson Fin during a recent trip to Cambridge. To say he is adorable is an understatement.
I used the February Limited Edition Kit from My Creative Scrapbook Kit Club
The kit contains papers from Blue Fern Studios Eclectic Collection. I love the blues and purples in this collection. The kit this month also came with a stencil from Prima Marketing which I used with Gold Icing Paste on my background.
I miss the relaxed atmosphere following a sketch provides. I did some stamping around the page with some archival ink.
A close-up of my cutie patootie! Love this little guy to the moon and back!
This was the sketch we had to follow. I hope you enjoyed. I hope to be back with another project I am working on. See you soon!
All the best! :)

Hello. I am back with another layout. Given the incredibly horrible winter weather we are having I felt like cheering myself up with something warmer!
I've used the Wanderer Collection for this layout with a photo I took while on holidays in Prince Edward Island.
I've used the retired  Seaside Frame. I heat embossed it with a variety of embossing powders Taupe, Sage, Ginger, Mushroom, and Sand & Sea.
 A close-up of the frame.
I added some  cheesecloth to my background. I misted it with two colors Tainted Love Teal and South Shore to match the colors on my page. I added some mini Art Stones throughout the cheesecloth using a stencil then colored them as well for added texture. This also shows one of my flower clusters using Blue Fern blooms misted to match the color of my page.
This is the flower cluster on the bottom half of my page. I've used some seashells I collected on the beach in P.E.I. and stamped a seahorse using the Seashore stamp. I've also added some teal prills for more texture.
Top part of the chipboard piece. I also used some 3D embellishments from 49 & Market.
For my title I used a piece of the printed chipboard.

Close-up of the left hand side of the chipboard.
I used a piece of the printed chipboard and added a second frame underneath the large chipboard frame. For fun I added a flair.
 Last close-up.

Little Moments

Back to you today with a layout done with the Remnants Collection from Blue Fern Studios.
I decided to go with the Maroon and purples in this collection. I prepped my page with transparent Gesso then used a diamond Tim Holtz stencil to match the pattern on the page. Using Bodacious Blush I colored the diamond shapes. Then I used the Tattered Newsprint stamp and did some stamping around the page.
I used the Textured Wildflowers chipboard and cut it in half to make extend further on my page. I used Plum and Mystic Plum embossing powders to color the blooms.
On the other half of my page I used this piece of chipboard (sorry can't remember the name) which resembles a brick wall. This brick element is also on the Wildflower Chipboard which worked out perfectly. I embossed the brick with a dark brown and some Avocado embossing powder. I then added some stamped flowers and leaves to imitate a trellis. I also used this piece from the Printed Chipboard as my title.
The other half of the Textured Wildflowers piece.
I used some of the Printed Chipboard that came with this line to frame my photo.
I stamped some papers with the Journaling Cards Stamp and tucked it behind my photo.
I used some Seedlings in Meadow throughout the page to help bring out the green on the brick pieces.
Last close-up.
