You Raise Me Up- A Kisses for Keaton layout

I absolutely love this photo! This is Kiki with her dad inside one of Toronto's beautiful churches. The windows are breathtaking and the way Don is holding his daughter up gave me a such sense of peace. The joy in her face and the light coming in behind her left me with a feeling that everything will work out, that she has a higher power on her side.
I totally loved the window in the picture and wanted to somehow make it a focal point on my page. I had just received the Prima Stencil with church widows and decided to make a window using moulding paste. All the papers are from Maja Design (a very generous donation)! I choose a sheet that was close to granite in color then stenciled on the window. I painted the panes of glass yellow trying to insinuate sunlight filtering through. I went around the sides with  Luminarte Acrylic Silks in Silver Bells.
Above the window I added some Dusty Attic vines for color and a Prima angel.
On either side of the main window I added a Gothic Dusty Attic window to keep with the theme of church. I backed each window with some Maja paper in yellow and went over it with Glimmer Glam to add a sparkle effect. Each window has a little Dusty Attic bird in it. I tried coloring the birds to match the birds on the backside of the Maja paper. I did all the stitching by hand and have the bruised fingers to prove it!
A mixture of blooms. The bigger ones I made with Maja paper. The smaller ones are a mix of Prima, Petaloo and Dusty Attic. The little zipper in the mix says beauty. I also rolled up two of the corners of the layout and added a small white crocheted doily from Prima.
The opposite side matching flower cluster. I added pearl sprays to both sides and tucked a clock into the flower cluster on both sides. Again more stitching. The stitching seemed to take forever! I have injured my neck recently and everything was quite difficult to do so I just took my time which is why my blog has been so quiet. First it was the stomach flu then it was the neck issue. I am currently praying that it is not another disc gone awry!I hope you like the layout! All the best and Happy Valentines Day!! <<Hugs>>
