This is my entry for this month's challenge at OUAS.
My absolute all time favourite photo of two of my granddaughters Lilly and Emily. This photo was taken at Gull Lake Park. We did an impromptu photo shoot as the trees were in full bloom and I couldn't resist! I used Kaisercraft's Kaleidoscope Collection papers that came in this months Swirlydoos Kit. The colors in this kit are stunning!
This is the sketch for this month. The topic was "Anything Goes. . ."
I challenged myself and did some masking with moulding paste and some misting with six colors! This is large for me! lol My title speaks for itself I cherish every moment I get to spend with my girls as they live three hours away from me and I don't get to see them near enough!
A close-up of my flower cluster that spreads across the page. A mixture of blooms from Petaloo, Prima and of course a few homemade. I also used some drywall tape for added texture on the layout.
I love this gorgeous Prima resin that came with the kit. I didn't have the proper color so I painted some roses purple to tie in Emily's purple clothes in the picture and stuck them inside the Garden Sink.
A close-up of my journaling. You can see the stamping I did with my Prima stitch stamp.
The final shot shows a Dusty Attic chippie I used on the layout. I love this Leafy Scroll. I actually cut it and placed the stem piece along the dark ribbon I used as a sort of border. I painted the chippie with my faithful Tim Holtz markers.
Well that's it for this post. I am exhausted. I have recently returned to work and am trying to balance my gardening, spring cleaning and job with my scrapping. I love scrapping way to much not to do a little something everyday! I also read every night so often I don't fall asleep until quite late which I need to change with my now early mornings. Thanks for dropping by and have a great week! All the best! :)
Good luck with the juggling of work, home & scrapping! Not easy, for sure...LOOOVE your page - the colours, the texture & most of all that little fountain - how PERFECT for your page!! Thanks - as always - for sharing with us at OUAS:) And if you haven’t already done so, you can link this to our Once Upon A…Sketch Facebook Page for a chance at our special FB prize!
