I decided to give the sketch over at Bo Bunny a try this month. I've had these papers for awhile now and have been eager to dig in. From the Madeline Collection I give you Capture the Moment
My gorgeous girls Lilly & Emily. Growing so fast! I started scrapping when Lilly was born and now she's such a little lady! Emmy is five and fast following in her sister's footsteps. Love the pinks and oranges in this line and wanted to pick them up a bit in my resin frame. I misted and misted with Lindy's Stamp Gang in Salt Water Taffy, Cosmopolitan Pink and Prima's Cotton Candy. There is also a slight trace (which you can't really see here) of teal mica powder that I added lightly to bring in the green of the papers.
Masking didn't go so well but it was too late to do anything. Mixed pink in with my moulding paste. I think this will be a new addiction for me! Colored moulding paste.
I stamped two 3-D images on the page. First I stamped on the page. Then I misted some cardstock stamped it with same colors as the frame and cut it out. I used pop dots to raise it up.
The dragonfly is the second 3-D image. I only added a few flowers to the page as it was already feeling crowded. A little stamping with a music stamp from my stash and a brad from the Madeline Collection.
My title came from a kit I have. I simply primed it with Gesso and misted it with Lind's Stamp Gang in Peony.
Last photo shows my journaling, some more masking and the stitching I did around the page. All stitching was done by hand. I used a gold floss together with a pink one to add more glitter to the page. It's to bad you can't see it here. My journaling says:
A sister is a gift to the heart
A friend to the spirit
A golden thread to the meaning of life.
Lilly & Emily.
