Remember Today

This month at More Than Words we have another wonderful challenge. I have to admit that I struggled with the challenge and will explain shortly but first this is my layout.
This was taken about nine years ago. My oldest granddaughter Lilly had a special bond with our dog Flash. You would often find the two curled up somewhere whether it was reading in bed or watching cartoons.  This relates to the comfortable part of the challenge "snuggling".
The challenge this month was about the word comfortable and the creative challenge was using three of the colors in the palette. I found this part of the challenge most difficult as I am not a fan of green. I managed to work it out eventually lol.
I used both background misting and my chipboard to introduce the green into my project. This chipboard is from Creative Embellishments.
I used one of my older mists from Tattered Angels for my background in Fern. The butterfly is from a Prima stamp from a Finnibar set.
I used blooms from 49 & Market"s older lines.
The lace is from Blue Fern Studios.
Lots of blooms on this layout!
The flair is from Cuts 2 Luv.
A closeup of my babies.
My title using a Recollections embossing powder. (I was trying to use up some of my older stash.)
This project has a lot of depth and will require a shadow box. I will be giving it to Lilly for her room as a keepsake.

Well that's it for another session. I hope to be back soon. I am struggling with my creative side these days. I need to get both my life and my room in order. Wish me luck! Take care!
All the best! :)
