This was the quote that was to be used in relation to the sketch.
This is my take on the sketch. This is a photo of my daughter Stephanie and my youngest grandchild Isla. They played a hysterical game of Peek-a-boo during the summer while on holidays at home. I felt this picture truly portrayed taking the time to enjoy the small moments in life! I love that I captured this shot!
Some close-ups of the layout. I used the Olde Curiosity Shoppe papers from Graphic 45.
I used the skeleton clock from DA and painted it green let it dry and the went over it with a copper glaze. The feathers I sprayed lightly with tattered angels glimmer mist in vintage pink. I then splattered white paint over the area.
I used the peacock feather also from DA. I painted it Aqua let it dry then went over it with black stickles from Ranger industries. I painted the top part of the feather with metallic copper and again let it dry then used honey stickles from Ranger industries on it. I used some lime stickles to outline the head of the feather some more. I got this technique from Gabrielle Pollaco in a layout she did some time ago. http://gabriellepollacco.blogspot.ca/ If you are a scrapbooker then you must know Gabrielle! She has some terrific tutorials on her blog and it's well worth the time to check them out!
