True Love-Scrap That Sketch Challenge

This is the March sketch at Scrap That designed by the talented Amarilys Doria.
This is my interpretation.
These are my Godparents after their wedding at city hall in Germany. Often in those days there was the city hall wedding and then a church wedding and some people preferred just city hall. My Godparents choose this route. My  Godparents are Protestant which caused somewhat of a problem for my Baptism as we are Catholic. My mother stood her ground stating it wasn't the specific faith that mattered but that should something happen to my parents that I would be raised with love and a sense of faith. My mother won the battle! I used the February kit for this layout.
I cut out my own doily out of the black paper in the kit because the white one just didn't work for me.

A close-up of the flowers and bling. I threaded a tiny piece of ribbon through the heart that came with the kit and tucked it underneath my fold as I had tore the paper when folding it and needed to conceal my mistake :( !
A mixture of Prima flowers cover the base of my Dusty Attic flower. I've had this piece since my very first order of DA and finally found an opportunity to use it. I  can't remember the name of it sorry.

Just a final close-up of just the flowers. I really enjoyed doing this layout. My Godparents were amazing people who overcame so much. They travelled to Canada with my father (mom came later by air) and were best friends for life. My Godfather was a baker who had a small bakery on Yonge St. in Toronto called Ingemar's Bakery. I loved visiting the bakery and munching away at all the treats my favourite being his sugar cookies. I know they loved me to pieces. When I was thirteen I was hospitalized for three and a half months. My Godfather sent me a card every single day I was there never missing one except on Weekends when there was no mail. He visited me often and always with a big box of sugar cookies. Sadly they have both passed away. I lost my Godmother to Ovarian Cancer and my Godfather to M.S. I miss them so very much. You both are forever in my heart I love you!
Hope you enjoyed the post and see you soon! Be well and TFL!
