ReplyDeleteCongrats on getting publihsed that is an awesome achievement! All the best!
DeleteCongratulations Kathleen! I look forward to that day as well so I feel your excitement!
DeleteAwesome prize Pam!! Some of my all time favourite products....even the coveted Prima brick stamp! wow! ....For me scrapping is the creative source in my life that keeps me happy, feeling as though I'm saving those precious memories in a beautiful way! xo
ReplyDeleteScrapbooking led me to card making and this has truly brought me a great deal of happiness. I get so lost while creating cards and it gives me time to either think or not think. Does that even make sense? I can think about stuff when I need to solve a problem or when problems are too great, it's a way to not think about anything but what colour ribbon to use. I have also met a great deal of people that have become my friends. I also have found a great deal of people that I admire for their creativity and the beauty they are able to create. Isn't it funny that I'm talking about people I admire and whose comment is above mine? Gabrielle Pollacco!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how much people we have never met "in real life" can become some of our closest friends? Scrapping for me has become a channel that allows me to be creative and meet some of the kindest people all around the globe. Your pay it forward prize is generous and the idea is so sweet :) Following...
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome giveaway!! Lots of great stuff in one gorgeous pile!! Paying it forward is an awesome gesture!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderfully generous giveaway; I'm new to your blog after seeing it on a FB share-I love "meeting" other scrappers and seeing their creations. Scrapping really did change my life-I first got into it while battling a nasty bout of depression, and this craft and the amazing people I've gotten to know through it helped me not only get through the depression, but also to get in touch with who I really am and find my creative soul!
ReplyDeleteI love being creative and preserving those memories. But meeting all these wonderful friends has enriched my life beyond measure! Paying it forward is such an awesome thing to do in any part if our life! Good for you! Hugs
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog:-) And I'm a follower! Scrapping did change my life - I'm looking at everything with my "crafting" look now - can I use it in my creations, did I take enough pictures, is the light good:-) But apart from that - I found many wonderful friends online, I stumbled onto so many inspirational places and I can say that I'm one blessed person for being part of such wonderful community! hugs 'n smiles, Emmy
ReplyDeleteI was led down the path of scrapbooking by my daughter! I wasnt really interested, but once I made my first couple of layouts,I was impressed. From scrapping, I got into card making, thanks to Craft Nook, our great craft store and its very creative owners. I also love that I know people from all over the world, cybre friends, that have the same interests, most of whom I have never met but some that I have.
ReplyDeleteI have many other interests but there is nothing like a day in my craft room to relax and let the creative juices flow.
I was led down the path of scrapbooking after adopting my 2 kids. After joining my church, I was impressed with the way the ladies dedicated themselves to making preserves, knitting and crocheting for the church. As I do not do any of this stuff, I found cardmaking. Finding a way to contribute to my church has been very rewarding and I too have found a place where I belong.
ReplyDeleteI started scrapbooking at a monthly get together at our church. That group broke up long ago, but I was snagged. The creative outlet of scrapbooking has help me get through some tough spots, and I'm so grateful for the sweet friends I've made both in real life and on-line!! Thanks for offering such a generous and beautiful give-away!! I'm a follower and will post this on my blog and facebook. ~ Blessings, Tracey

From my first "scrapbooking kit", my hobby has grown exponentially to include being a Close To My Heart representative, holding card classes, and teaching an "I love my Cricut" class. I have taken over 1/2 of my daughters play room and have never looked back. Scrapbooking and cardmaking are my stress relievers. I can get lost for hours with glue, paper, and sequins and my family is better off for the calm, cool, and collected mom and wife that emerges. Scrapbooking changed my life by giving me an outlet for my creativity. It's a little cheaper and much more fun than therapy! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win! :)
my journey into scrapbooking has been very therapeutic for me...I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in '06 and am now currently in a wheelchair. I have my faith in God and scrapbooking to thank for helping me to make new friends online and at the crops I have found to be great fun! I am a new follower and if it's okay I will give you a shout out on my blog!
ReplyDeleteI think scrapbooking has been my stress reliever to normal, everyday life. I love the documentation aspect, but playing with the great colors, patterns and embellishments is the complete opposite from my days as an engineer and my life as a mother and wife. Scrapbooking is something that I do for me and hopefully my family enjoys the final creations! Great giveaway, I became a follower.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know I could still follow with GFC! Yayyy!!! I'm a new follower thanks to Tracey at Garden of Grace :) I can't imagine my life without scrapbooking! I started almost 9 years ago after the birth of my youngest son. I gave it up rather quickly because being a mom of five , one of them a new baby, was a bit much...lol. About 2 yrs later I picked my supplies back up and have never looked back! I love documenting the stories behind the photos for future generations and have given many scrappy gifts to friends and family and they were so moved! It's such a great release for me too.....when I'm stressed slinging paint on a layout or stapling stuff down really hard makes me feel better....lol.
ReplyDeleteMuch like you Pam scrapbooking has changed my life too, It is my therapeutic passion each day now that I am wheelchair bound. I have met so great friends, love chatting on and off line. I have learned how to challenge myself and do more than when I began. I appreciate the people I have met and love learning new things.Creating layouts and cards is just my way of life now along with loving God. Thanks for the chance to win this awesome prize package.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless!
Rachelle
I am so blessed by how God has used Scrapbooking to help me find my place in the world. As I have been encouraged by beautiful people, my confidence and skills, too, have grown. I now am a co-facilitator of a wonderful Ministry at church where the ladies get together to craft and share their lives. Deep friendships have been made as a result and we have walked with one another through mourning the passing of loved one, terminal illnesses, as well as celebrations of new births. If it wasn't for the encouragement of others in my life I wouldn't have had the courage to go forward and encourage others in their walk.
ReplyDeleteI am a follower and will share this on FB :-)
Hi there, I saw your post from Tracey Sabella's blog and thought it was a really awesome idea to pay it forward...I also shared on my FB. I am still kind of new to the whole scrappy thing,I started just over six months ago after I lost my youngest daughter...I got it in my head that I wanted to make a memorial album, she was only on this earth for 13 years and I wanted to remember everything....I spent a lot of time online, I called it research...I have met some truly wonderful people whom I now consider friends..they have helped me not only with the scrapbooking but also dealing with my loss....My oldest and now sit together and pick out picture and share stories...the whole experience has been very therapeutic....
ReplyDeleteI just became a new follower and checkout out your blog a bit....congrats on your big win from Creative Scrapbook Kit Club! ReplyDeleteScrapbooking was the first papercrafting past time I started with after years of lots of other craftiness. I loved it so much I gave up all the others. That was about 15 years ago. I have since enlarged my love of papercrafting to include cardmaking, art journaling and mixed media art. I got your link from Joan Young and I am a new follower!
ReplyDeleteI love scrapbooking because I have met such wonderful friends and so enjoy "making memories" for my grandkids. They love the layouts I make of them and their special occasions and spend time looking at the albums every time they visit. I just became a new follower - I was sent here by Linda from Craft Nook...I think your idea of paying it forward is awesome...what a generous prize!

Pamela ,
ReplyDeleteCongrats on winning the My Creative Scrapbook Grand Prize. You are not only a customer but I feel so blessed to know you . Scrapbooking has allowed me to meet kind, giving, talented people, just like you that have added such joy to my life.
Thank you !!
What a great contest
I have dabbled with scrapping off and on for about 10 years. Now, being a full time caregiver to my 93 year old mother, I find it is something I can do and still be with her all the time. Bringing out the old family photos, stimulates her mind and sometimes opens up conversation of days gone by. I love to see her eyes light up when she has a memory...especially as we draw closer to the end stage of her life. I found you on RRR's Cherry Jubilee. I do not blog but have enjoyed yours. Scrappers are the best!
ReplyDeleteP.S. As you see, I clearly do not know my way around a blog. I guess my AOL is Lpester@aol.com.
DeleteOh Now that I have been scrapping all these years I can't see my life without it. Scrapbooking has helped me in alot of ways.. We have had a few deaths in my family and 3 of them was very close to my Mother in law(Cancer) Father In Law(Blood Infection) and My Father last year to Cancer. And scrapping those memories of our life with them has helped me get out the funk mood and helps me not be as sad. So To me its my therapy... Besides that I want to leave a legacy behind for my niece and nephew so they can remember there pappy and there childhood.
ReplyDeleteScrapbooking is an awesome way for me to relax and unwind at the end of the day. It has changed my life in so many ways because of all the amazing people I have met (both online and offline), it has challenged my creative side immensely and it gives me the opportunity to scrap everyone that is close to me and preserve all the memories for generations to come. Thanks to my sister-in-law (who is deceased) for getting me into scrapbooking. I just love it so much!!
ReplyDeleteI started Scrapbooking when I was pregnant with my daughter, she is now 16. Back then there were nothing but a few stickers and very little paper. Some one gave me a creative memories album for a baby gift, and it sparked some creativity in me. I haven't stopped since. It is very calming, and therapeutic to scrapbook. I have met a lot of amazing people and I believe it has changed my life.
ReplyDeleteHi! I came on your blog over your comments on my LO on SB, thanks for that! I did look around on your blog, OMG that scraproom looks so good! Love the fact that you have 5 daughters, for a scrapping mother a blessing. I have 6 sons, love them , but for scrapping not ideal(hihi). Lucky I have 2 daughters also. About how scrapping changed my life.....complete! I look better at colors and designs in daily life, feel happy when I am working with paints and mists. And it gives me a good feeling I archieve something for the children at the same time! And in scrapping world everybody is friendly, so relaxed to live in it together with real life.
ReplyDeleteI just love this post and your contest!!!! I know that scrapbooking has changed my life in so many ways! . . . and I agree with you - just the fact that I have met so many wonderful people from everywhere around the world, boggles my mind! Everyone is so friendly and supportive! I love creating pages that have meaning and also giving them as gifts! Thank you for hosting this amazing "Pay it Forward" contest!
ReplyDeleteScrapbooking has given me a very needed creative outlet. It also allows me to teach my sons about patience, attention to detail and having fun crafting. They love the layouts of themselves!
