Beauty

I am back today with my first in a long time entry to a challenge. It's been forever since I participated in any type of challenge so I thought I would give it a go. I am entering this layout in the February Dusty Attic challenge.

This is the Mood Board for the month.

This is my interpretation of the Mood Board.
I used the Sage Vintage Artistry line of papers and matching embellishments for this.
I used lots of layers using the ephemera pack and some cut outs I made.
My title is from the die cut sheet that comes in the paper pack. I love those sheets they are full of cool dies!
A few art stones for some added texture.

I used embossing powders to color all my chipboard for this layout. I then added some Seedlings from Blue Fern Studios in Meadow to spruce it up a bit. I threw out the packaging before I got the name of the chipboard piece from it.
I used the Maiden Hair Ferns and Lavender chipboard to embellish the sides. This page will go into the camping album for Lake Superior. This was taken at Neys Provincial Park. Neys was former POW Camp 100. It was so cool seeing the history still left behind and the trails were amazing!!

Thanks for dropping by.
All the best! :)

Adore you

Hi there! I am back again with another layout using the gorgeous blush line from 49 & Market. It's taken me awhile to blog this as for some reason my crop tool in my Adobe Software isn't working right (so my photo is off). I have no idea how to fix it so any suggestions are welcome!
This is my adorable granddaughter Lilly aka Beaner when she was just a small tyke (she's 15 now!)
My background is done with clear gesso and then some molding paste and a Finnibar stencil. I stitched around the page for added interest.
For my flower clusters I used both Prima flowers, 49 & Market blooms and dies. I backed the dies with thick cardboard to give it more dimension. I used some rubons and applied them to white cardstock then fussy cut them and used them as foilage to back the flowers.
Another bloom pic!
I built my composition using many layers.
A small resin for some flair!
My cutie I adore you!

That's it for now!
All the best!

You are Simply the Cheeriest!

Greetings! It has been quite some time since I've last posted anything. I think I am suffering from Covid fatigue and depression. This pandemic has for me personally left me feeling down and discouraged. The endless number counts, testing problems, vaccine or anti-vaccine it just seems so out of control for being over two years into this mess now. I know I am definitely not alone in my "despair" and need to find a way back to looking forward to the day rather than "surviving" it. So I decided to enter this month's sketch challenge over at My Creative Scrapbook Kit Club.

This is the sketch:

And this is my take on the sketch.
My two oldest grandchildren Lilly and Emily.
I prepped my page with clear gesso. I then added a few of the branches using the stencil that came with the kit. I colored it with Lindy's mists and some distress glitter from Tim Holtz. I then added an ephemera branch and a piece of Blue Fern Chipboard colored with white paint and glitter. I topped this out with a poinsetta from the ephemera pack. I did this in three of the four corners.
I used a piece of Ephemera for my title. Love the ephemera packs!

A final close-up.

I have already started a new page and hope to get my groove back. I promised myself that no matter how much I like or dislike my project I will post them. hopefully with time I will feel more confident again and the creativity will come back. I hope that you are all doing well and staying as safe as possible in these trying times. As my mother always used to say "This too shall pass". Lets hope!

All the best! :)
