And this is my interpretation of the sketch
I used the April Main Kit from MCS with the Maggie Holmes collection from Crate Paper. The colors in this kit are bold and bright and were the perfect match for this picture of my youngest daughter and two of my grandaughters. The little ones adore their Auntie Jessie this is apparent in the glee on their faces when she arrived for Lilly's 6th Birthday party. It warms my heart to see how incredibly close my family is, especially since I lost both my parents and my siblings and I don't see each other often anymore.
I used a Kaisercraft rub-on for the title Girls Just Want to Have Fun and the flowers are a mix of Petaloo (large) and Prima (small). I needed a paper that would help balance the bold patterned ones so I used a sheet from the kit painted it white and then pulled various colors from the kit, matched them in paint and spritzed them across the sheet. You can see it behind the title.
This is the last close-up of my banner and again you can see more of my home made sheet to the left. It's an absolutely gorgeous day outside so I am off to garden. Hope all is well with you. And today I want to give a special mention to my mother who passed away two years ago today. I miss you so much mom there are no words. I love you. For everyone else take care be well! :)
This is such a wonderfully fun layout! Love it! Thanks for playing along with us at MCS!
