Magical Fairy Princess-Scraps of Elegance Sketch Challenge

This is my entry for the Scraps of Elegance sketch challenge. I used their kit Yesterdays which was filled with gorgeous papers from Prima, Pink Pasilee and Authentique. This is my grandaughter Emily. I love this photo of her and even tho it was an Instagram pic from my daughter's phone I just had to do it. Emily is so petite and delicate (in size only she can be a handful) that I always think of her as a little fairy princess.

I am slowly becoming more comfortable using mixed mediums like the  moulding paste on the side of the layout. I used some mica podwers to tint it to match the subtle colors in the paper. I used an ancient stamp in my stash for the title.

The leafy stems are from Dusty Attic (Swirly Vines DA0751) and painted them white then inked them with a medium green. The small rosettes were made using paper from the kit and the EK Retro punch. The large bloom is of course Prima.

Last close-up of the rosettes and the stitching around the centrepiece. I hand stitch everything as I don't know how to sew! Now I have the pleasure of going out to garden in this humidty:( Love gardening I just don't like weeding and them seem to grow faster than anything! Have a great one!
