Moments-My Creative Sketches July

This is my entry for the sketch challenge up this month at My Creative Sketches.

And this was the sketch. . .

Another layout for the engagement album for a friend of the family. I used My Creative Scrapbook's Limited Edition Kit which included the gorgeous papers from Websters Pages Plum Seed Collection. I have been eyeballing these papers for awhile and battling with myself yes get them, no you can't afford them oh but I want them and then ta da they came in my kit! I love karma!

I called the page moments because you can only do so many love, in love etc... pages. The letters are included in the kit and are Thickers. The little hearts in the top corner were from my stash.

I used Dusty Attic's corner Floursih #3 on this layout. I primed the pieces with acrylic paint then inked them using my Tim Hotlz's markers. But that wasn't enough they didn't stand out enough so I inked them with the ink pads of the same color and once dried went over them with matching stickles. You can catch a bit of the sparkle on the brown stem.

I stamped the edge of the layout with a Bo Bunny stamp and white embossing powder. Then I inked from the outer edges in to keep the middle of the layout lighter.

The butterfly (also in the kit) is from Pink Paislee's Cottage Farms collection and made the perfect final touch. I used some bling to add a tail. You can see the masking I did with some Texturez (Tidy Widy) and the little pearls for that little bit of extra color. Also did a little hand stitching around some of the squares to make them stand out more. And that's it! We are heading into the long weekend here in Canada anyways and supposedly some good weather so I plan to work outside in the garden which has been sorely neglected due to the heat then the tornado that hit us and took out neighbor's tree which of course came down in my yard! Now that everything is cleaned up I can get back to my pond and flower beds!
